Has anyone got any thoughts on protein and weight loss? I've been cutting protein down to lower calories. Should I up them and not worry about the few extra calories? I'm watching my calories but can't seem to lose any more .

There are a few articles online about how much protein you should consuming based on activity level and age - anywhere from 1/2g per Lb to 1+grams per Lb. I know I need to run that through my Dr. due to other health "issues" but I am at about 3/4g per lb. daily as a goal. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on here that can give you other ideas. I wish you all the best on your adventures.

Cut carbs, not fat (good fat) or protein.

Start by cutting out junk and processed foods. Especially fast food.

Also add in exercise

Protein should be a priority. If you have to cut, cut fat and carbs, doesn't matter which. Cutting protein in a deficit makes you more likely to lose lean body mass, which is not good.

BTW, I am biased (I start having nightmares about atrophy when I don't hit my protein target) but I think it's evidence-based.
