I only made 238 kcal movement calories today after 6 hours of shopping and unloading/putting away groceries. Decided to figure it up as I’m odd like that. I burned 122 calories during the 6 hour shopping trip and putting things away and about half an hour sitting on my butt. I burned 36 calories in the 2 hours we went to eat dinner. I only burned 70 calories over my resting burn the rest of the day.

Moral of the story? Go ahead and eat because you’ll burn a sit as much walking in and out of the restaurant and eating as you would shopping and putting away groceries! Plus you burn more eating out than picking up the house and getting ready to do those other things! Just don’t eat too much! Make it like 6 small meals a day to stay in calorie range but eating still seems to burn more calories than going to 4 stores, dropping a kid off and unloading and putting away groceries lol.

I expected at least 250-300 extra calories with all that walking and pushing a cart! Although I’ve found that my watch doesn’t like to record extra calories burned when pushing a cart unless I’m in a hurry and rushing through the isles like a mad woman trying to win the Indy 500! (When it makes my heart rate go up a decent amount).

My fitbit won't count steps pushing a cart or dog stroller either. So I push with one hand. I probably look strange but I want those steps!!! Lol!

I don't think that's accurate cause I often lose after days I'm busy & out running errands, shopping, etc.

I don’t know what’s going on lol. When the kids are with me I have one of them push so it counts my steps.
