Tim, I wouldn't worry about the fat, except in as much as they contain a lot of calories. I used to fear fat, due to the brainwashing I received over 30 years of misinformation. But we all know now that we need fat for building muscle and repairing cells. What I fear with all my heart is refined sugar both the obvious kind and that which lies hidden in "Heart Healthy" grains...lol. Have a great day.

You are right about the fat intake. It is still energy and we do need it for our bodies. I do try to stay away from too many fried foods. I guess it is the brainwashing you mentioned. But you are right fat tends to add calories as well. You have a great day as well.

Everything in moderation is my motto. My dad had a high fat diet all his life and died of heart problems. Some people can eat a lot of unhealthy fats and be fine. Others (with heart disease in the family) need to be careful. It's an individual thing.

My cholesterol is great right now but I really don't want to each to much fat to tip it so I watch my fat intake when I can limit it.
