Interesting day at work! Went to a lean innovations workshop to learn how to be more efficient at work without increasing cost. The course taught us how to gather data to show where we might be able to improve efficiencies and illustrate the processes involved in achieving improvements in specific functions. We did a mock process first, then redid it by making only one change. We saw how much time we could shave off the process by making one little change. This was a very interesting exercise that showed how things could improve efficiency quickly and easily. Part 2 is tomorrow and we will begin to develop a plan that can be implemented at work place. Very interesting and hopefully will help in improving some of the way things are done.

I confess I didn't get on the treadmill yesterday. "Orange is the new Black" on Netflix (terrific show) got in the way although it was probably good to take a day off. I'll try again tonight. I think I'm still on track for loosing weight. It's been 6 days without eating any sweets or nuts! The longer I stay away from these vices, the more successful I will be and the easier it will become. I am so thankful for a supportive family who support my goals and are also committed to healthy lifestyle choices. Hubby and son are out together tonight at the gym working out...some father-son bonding time. Nice
