i have been sticking on my plan very well. today i made hummus for the first time and it was really tasty. i didn't do a calorie count for it yet but i think it is a bit lower than regular hummus because i left out the olive oil. i added a 1/2 teasp. of pesto for flavor and used tahini so there is some added fat from those ingredients but overall it was tasty. greek influenced food is so good, fresh and healthy. i am starting to get my family on board with my eating plan. i hope my mom comes around even more. she's always complained about being overweight but hasn't done much about it for the last several years. it would be great to have a dedicated healthy eating buddy in the house!

i am going to weigh in tomorrow morning. i hope to see a bit of a loss because i was pretty much 100% on diet this week except for new years eve drinks. for the next few weeks i want to keep up on my eating (i already feel so much better) and add in more exercise. i haven't been too good about working out. although if i had to pick strict eating or working out i would pick eating - i think it makes all the difference. but working out i like too - it's just so cold and i haven't quite got it into my routine yet but i CAN! i'm going to start out aiming for 3 times per week. this is totally doable and once i get that going, i will try to do more. i really want to join a spin gym - i should look into that... here's to 2011. my year of change!
