IMO: 40-50% carbs is way too much. Carbs break down into sugars & unused sugar turns into fat not muscle.

Thanks! @Jason, I’m a big carb eater. I lost the weight eating carbs. Most meals are 50% or less carbs (breads, pasta, veggies). This meal was really high carb because it’s my traditional Thanksgiving meal. We eat this meal twice a year and a similar one 6 times a year during November and December. It’s not a normal meal throughout the year ;).

I see that you are almost at your goal weight. Congratulations. We need those special days . You have 357 days to make up for those few that we can indulge a little.

I’ve been in maintenance for about a year and a half and my goal is a range of 115-125. I’m happy anywhere around there. When I started here early 2018 I didn’t allow myself meals like this often. I’d get very upset when my family insisted we eat out even. Then I realized I NEEDED treats. Then I added in a dinner out here and there. Now I basically eat whatever I want while trying to keep protein higher (hasn’t worked well here lately) as long as I’m in my range and feel okay. Sticking to a very strict diet worked to lose some weight but it was hell on my mental health. Always being hungry will make a person cranky haha. But if you know you have a little treat comping up or a nice meal out in a week it’s much easier to get through the rest of the meals :).
