1+ edema this morning and scale is still showing 193 wt. but I did eat too many bananas last night but did take a lasix, took a lasix but no K+ this morning, can't say that the edema is any better but will take another one now (2:15) and see how the scale goes. I ate a light lunch and no breakfast, about 500 mg of sodium in the turkey breast and crackers and mayo, so still doing well on that. I may have miscalculated the lentil/sausage sodium content, though I did figure it out to the half oz of cooked meat, it is possible I didn't lose the 50% of the sodium I calculated in the fat draining off....so will shelve that meal for the time being and not eat any more of it.

I know the turkey is loaded with sodium as well, but did calculate it and it seemed to be okay in moderation and only ate 4 oz of it (weighed) sooooo back to the drawing board!

If the edema is not resolved with lasix and lower sodium over weekend will go see doc next week for some lab work.

weighed about supper time and was down to 189 after the second lasix, a little edema but NOT pitting...made some chili with the ONLY sodium being the pinto beans (canned) which had been washed well.

BEEF has 20 mg sodium per oz so that wasn't too bad at all! Glad to see that I'm dropping the water weight, hope I can do it without the lasix, but may have to use it....not on any BP meds though.
