Everything smells like pumpkin, fall spices, leather, and smoke. Autumn has arrived at my company even if my residence is still dealing with temps in the 90's.

I am cautiously optimistic about the adaptogens clearing some of the ever-present 'brain fog' as I woke up feeling more clear and inspired than I had in a very long time.

I tried meditation last night.
This isn't my first go-round with meditation. And last night, just like every other time, I realized that my brain is an undisciplined child that goes and does whatever it wants.
And then I was mad because I wasn't good at meditation. Which made my thoughts take off like hummingbirds in full aggressive attack mode.
SO.
I'll try again today.

Who knew that making of your self an empty space would be so hard?

Good luck with the meditation 🧘‍♀️ . It makes me think of the “I don’t have time to make a list” vs “A list saves time” conundrum. It’s hard to calm down enough to calm down.

I listen to guided meditation otherwise my mind wanders. I love it when the guide says it is okay for your mind to wander. Just tell the thought, "not now, I'm busy meditating. Stop bothering me." I was so relieved when I heard that because it freed my to have thoughts but do dismiss them.
