I don't eat seafood, Big Boned, so I wouldn't know about the flavor of the fish from that area. I'll surely post some pictures of the Emerald Coast when I get there though. Tentatively, the plan is to be there next February, so stay tuned. 🙂 📷

That's great, Carolyn! Will you go on a long trip, fulltime, or on a shorter excursion?

Lonnie, we live in Sarasota near Siesta Key, have been a Floridian for 6 years now, (hate the cold weather), I will have to check out Santa Rosa! We purchased a travel trailer 2 years ago, and have had a few enjoyable trips right here in FL...loved all the natural springs near Old Towne FL....

Hubby & I camped at Grayton Beach State Park many times. I absolutely love that area. We were usually there Jan. / Feb. The weather can be amazing....perfect for bicycling along the bike trail. Most of the upscale resteraunts offer happy hour specials like 2 for 1 meals or discounted cocktails at that time of year. My sisters & I usually go to PCB & stay in a condo each year. I can attest that the sands are still white & the water is still crystal clear blue 😊

Grayton Beach State Park is a great place to camp while you're in the Santa Rosa area, Sweet_Marie. It's inexpensive and you can camp just on the other side of the dunes from their own beautiful beach with sugar white sand and crystal clear, pale green water. I know you'll love it, but bring some cash with you. They don't let any big corporations set up shop in the town, so you won't find McDonald's, or Walmart, or Appleby's there. There are only locally owned restaurants and shops, and most of them don't accept credit cards.

That's so cool, Sherrye! I love that area too! So much, in fact, that we're looking for a plot of land in the area on which to build an RV pad, so we can spent our winters there. I can't wait to see it again, and again, and again. 🙂
