RVing is an amazing lifestyle, Big Boned. If you think you'd like it, start putting a plan together, get and RV, and join me. I'll save a campsite right next to me for ya.

I'm definitely not a suburban settler. Never have been and never will be. It's just not me, and I've lived in Europe and the US. Never got into that after college. It's just not my game. You know I have stocks and stuff but no property. I'm thinking doing the small house on wheels, and just buying a plot of dirt somewhere now, and just keep investing in stocks and bitcoin. I would totally share a campfire, but I've gotta do a lot of the cooking. LOL I love cutting my mass quantities of herbs and veg and burning the crap out of meat. Hahahaha

Mobile in an RV or otherwise is definitely it. As a female, I just don't want to end up on an investigative YouTube channel, like Cold Case Files: She was so adventurous and smart but some how we found her bones in the Mohabi desert; then they interview my family members who should never have public access anyway. "We don't know why she was at that saloon on that day".

Sounds like you already have a great plan, Big Boned. Bravo! We're looking now at buying a plot of land in Florida, to use as a home base where we can spend winters. We want a piece of land where we can install an RV pad (electric, water and sewer hookups) that's not too far from a beach. We're working with a realtor now to find a place near my favorite beach, which is Santa Rosa Beach on the Gulf Coast. It's so beautiful there. Stay in touch! I love sharing campfires!

I can certainly understand your safety concerns, Big Boned. There's a group for solo female fulltime campers that you might like to get involved with when you start camping. They're called WRTR (Women's Rubber Tramp Rendezvous). They kinda watch out for each other and provide best practices for staying safe. You might be surprised at how many women do fulltime camping on their own. Here's their web address if you'd like more information. https://homesonwheelsalliance.org/wrtr/

Oh wow lonniehuffman. I'm a programmer and I don't go to a bowling alley without reading reviews, so I don't know why I didn't think to research RVing as a female. HELLO. Thank you so much. How exciting. Bookmarked ASAP. OOOOHHHHH my gosh. What a flippin' reliable and trustworthy resource. Geez Lonnie. Thank you sooooooooooo much!!!!

Oh that sounds lovely lonnie. Also, I lived in Florida along the "Emerald Coast". Is it still that after the oil spill? Haven't been back in like 20 years. But I did travel all over Florida. I have to say for coasts at the time....Sand Destin.....was it. I mean. You get a little beach cottage down a 1000 ft and with a cute name for your little beach cottage like in England. I love it. I don't know what it looks like today though. Sorry.

Honestly. I realize I need to giddy up.

I'm originally from Florida, Big Boned. I was born in Miami and have been to most places in Florida. Even though we live all over the place now, we're officially Floridians today, because Florida is one of the few states that allow you to establish residency without actually having a physical address within the state. I don't recall ever having been there before, but I'll definitely try to get to Sand Destin. It sounds great!

The last time I visited Santa Rosa on the Emerald Coast was not too long after the BP oil spill, and there were a few black clumps scattered around, but nothing hideous. The water was still clear and there were plenty of fish in the water. It was still beautiful!

Get back on the horse. I just ballooned 4+ lbs due to gorging on Pizz Hut Pan Meatovers.

It's good to have company, FourWheeldrive. I'm back on the proverbial horse with you today. I should be back under 172 by tomorrow.

I was born in England, which is why I love Sand Destin. It's like a small Bristol on a good day without big black rocks. I am an American citizen. I'll go back soon. Well, since that oil spill, I'm not sure. All of the Gulf Coast seafood taste like crap and oil. Along Destin and Ft. Walton Beach the water was crystal clear. I don't know what it looks like now. Let us know when you get there.

Thanks, LRPN1. It's coming down, for sure. I expect by tomorrow I'll be back under 172, which is my happy place.
