Our family's way of eating = Diablo's left overs...if there are any. 

He does self checkout to get the right angle. "Excuse me, sir...can you hurry it up " 

Lol, this wasn't self-checkout, but some college student in front of me was paying for their items with nothing but coins. Counting it out all slow, the teller was busy watching her so no one noticed. :P

Why do all of my oranges have baboon butts? Chris, I just eat one to hold me over about 7 minutes for my next donut. 

He has a lot of patience, friendly guy. Always with the jokes or with random trivia. Last time I was there he made me stay to tell me a random fact about the Spartan army. Something about they were the best and the worst army. Really well trained but also low in number so when they had to respond somewhere they left everything else vulnerable or something lol. Anyway, I don't know how many he had memorized. He had two different ones for the two families in front of me...I think he should be getting tips to be honest but people that aren't as friendly as me probably want him to shut up. :P 

Oh my! 

I would DEFINITELY want him to STFU! That's why we are together- opposites attract. but that is WAY better than when the checkers are told to be friendly and their only conversation skills are lifting up my items to scan and asking if it's good and telling me they plan to try it. Just shut up and scan. I hate shopping.  

I am with Diablo on this one. I have empathy for "cashiers" and others in those positions. Imagine working 8 hours a day doing nothing but scanning, bagging and taking payment. It's not like they can stand there and be on their phones texting, on social media and checking FS all day ! LOL A kind word and chit chat is common courtesy. Thanks Diablo. 

Ask the cashier if he prefers the Persian or Peloponnesian wars? (The Spartans won both). Also, see if his warrior knowledge extends to the Middle Ages. Ask about the Vikings and you might make his whole day! 😝

Haha, Chris. I try, CCC. Gibjib, I get all of my history from video games and in the last Assassin's Creed(Odyssey) you play as a Spartan and in the next one coming this Holiday you play as a Viking(Valhalla). So I find it interesting you mentioned both.  

She mentioned to the cashier that she was trying to get her boyfriend to go to the store because she was embarrassed about paying in change but he refused, lol! 

Poor thing, I've been there using my coins for groceries. It sucks. The Treasury needs people to start paying in coins, BTW.
