What six of my rose bushes look like today! The hot pink, which were totally devoured by deer this spring, finally bloomed! This is calorie free food for my soul!

Thank you all so much. The last few days have been very busy, so I haven't been around much. I'm trying to catch up! #One, I too am so grateful Lonnie allows us to travel vicariously to all the beautiful places he goes and uses as his amazing nature gym. My roses, along with landscaping other places in my yard, are what helped kept me anchored this spring with the lock down. With no gyms, it is working in the yard that really made a huge difference so I would not gain. I am really thankful that you guys can enjoy my roses with me. It actually means so much to me! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Wow. Your neighbors should give you an award for most beautiful yard.

Thank you, Erquiaga! My phone still wants to auto correct to that as soon as "erq" is entered! Thst looks so interesting! I do have one wild rose bush, well I tend it for my man since it is "his!" He loves them and it was his father's day gift years back. It is nearly done blooming for the year, but if I am careful next year, I could certainly collect enough over time to make the recipe. I did notice it says you can make it from other roses. Sadly. I have to spray my roses with both natural concoctions and some chemicals to keep them from being a total mess of fungus and mildew. But, I really might try to make that jam next spring!!!

Beauxpurdy, thanks! I do make bouquets for neighbors and friends several times a week this time of year, and lots of folks comment. I think they do appreciate some extra color in the neighborhood! 😁

Oh, and, Erq, I don't have to spray the wild ones, so that is why they would be fine! And some of the stuff I use would be totally harmless. Right now I am using a potassium bicarbonate concoction I make up, since black spot has calmed down for the year, and only the powdery mildew is much of a problem.

Nice! Roses are aggressive here so you are definitely talented. I stick to hostas and ferns out front.
