I dislike Chinese food so this is what I picked at the Chinese buffet. Logged it all and it shows 900 kcal. Have a hard time believing that.

My guess would be that most of the calories are in the garlic bread and the breaded chicken.

Yeah. Half of it. 430 calories. There wasn’t many healthy options without sauces except for the breaded chicken or burnt chicken on a stick. Fruit seemed the better choice which is why I had a whole plate of fruit. It doesn’t hold me long so I will need to eat something again soon.

My “go to” items at Chinese places are generally broccoli or string beans as the bulk of the meal and then shrimp or unbreaded (even if I take off the breading myself, lol)chicken. I hate that pretty much everything has sauce, it makes it so hard! The fruit was a good choice but I agree... hungry again in like an hour if I don’t get some protein. 😁

I also peel breading off. Makes me seem high maintenance, but better than eating oil soaked breading.

These were small so would’ve been hard to peel the breading off. I think they baked them. Didn’t taste fried and wasn’t greasy. Would’ve had the chicken on a stick but they way over cooked it. They had some shrimp that didn’t have sauce but I don’t eat seafood. Even their beans were covered in oil. Hubby loves it so I take him twice a year. I can deal with it those days lol. The rest of the time he has to take clients or buddies!

Looks amazing, and peeling the breading is a great idea! It counts!

This is buffet only :/. There’s another we go to that you order off of a menu. Their chicken was boiled and no seasonings. Broccoli was still hard, barely cooked. We have horrible restaurants here. Even our chain restaurants under or over cook things all the time. I mean seriously, how can you undercook a McDonald’s hamburger? Lol

lol... no complaints from my city... our town has some of the best restaurants around. your invited to visit Temecula California.

Where i live our restaurants are horrible also such high turnover good help is like a bigfoot sighting few and far between but the chinese restaurant here is quite consistent.thats why i cook for myself its better and i do it for a living so it helps me from kicking myself in the ass for wasting money on a crappy meal
