Day 3 of my visit to the lake with my folks. As I expected, OMAD is not possible in close quarters with the folks so I'm doing 2MAD instead & just closely monitoring my carbs & calories and every meal trying to be patient when asked can you eat this or that..and reminding my parents I'll just work with whatever I can find thats on the table. thank God I brought my Swerve sweetener as my Mom makes a sweet cole slaw I was able to make my portion with that, for example. or bacon & eggs but no toast for me, thx. My Mom gets stressed & cranky in a very short period of time so it makes the days stressful in general but she's too set in her ways to change. My plan was to stay 1 week or maybe longer but I don't think I can go more than 1 week especially when every day I'm not eating exactly as I choose too. I was also hoping that they wouldn't want to stay here the whole week too. its great to see them but I would love a few days solitude here as well but thats not going to happen. by day 4 I know from experience there will be no talking to Mom without her barking at everything. Tomorrow is father's day, monday is their anniversary. i'm hoping we celebrate the 2 together and get the cheat day done & out of the way! Otherwise, I'll probably shoot for tuesday...wed at the latest to make a run for the comfort & peace of home, as much as I do love my folks:)
