:( That sucks! I didn't realize deer eat roses. For what it's worth- the remainder look nice!

Thanks, girls! ❤️We see deer so rarely... as in couple times a year. I was hoping they would not find my roses. Having had such a delightful dinner, I suspect they will be back for sure. So far, they have not come to the five bushes by my front door. I'm hoping! I know if the deer does not return, the bushes can still recover and flower. Otherwise, there is always next year! 😁

Motion activated sprinkler off Amazon should take care of it.

Sorry they did that to your beautiful roses. Have you tried a simple homemade spray? Recipe: 1 cup water, 3 eggs, 1/3 cup hot sauce, 1/3 cup Dawn. Spray just once a week unless it rains, then you'll have to spray again. Another trick is to thoroughly douse some rags in vinegar and secure to a stake, put near the roses. They hate the smell of vinegar even when it dries out. Hope this helps.

Deer are all over our city. It’s crazy. New developments are destroying a lot of woods and the deer are exposed. Sad but necessary if a city is to grow. But it leaves us with hungry deer. So sad they ate your roses, maybe if we were deer, we’d know they taste as great as they look??!! 😂😂 Hopefully your fence when repaired keeps them away. Your flowers are all so beautiful! 🌹🌷💐🥀🌼🌸

Thanks all for your sympathy and also enjoying my flowers with me! ❤️💐 I am thankful!!! Chris, I complained bitterly to my nice neighbors, who hustled into their garage and came back with a nasty smelling repellant to use. They have a vested interest, since I supply them along with other neighbors cut flowers throughout the summer! I tried it last night. No one nibbled more! Sadly, I'm afraid deer can't read though, dear. 😁

I'm so sorry your garden was trampled... That is even worse, Chris. 😢 Mine damage was just caused by innocent deer.

Katsolo! I have a motion sensor in my shopping cart! When I get home from work, I'm making sure it is the right one and ordering! Thanks for the great idea!!!

IPhyll, thank you for the recipe! I will use the commercial stuff I have at the moment and add a some vinegar rags until I can get the sprinkler. Hopefully that will all help! I'm keeping that recipe in mind though for some other plants that are on the other side of the house!

Those silly deer do have high opinions of the tender buds. I don't think they appreciate "pretty." they even ate fully bloomed flowers. Edible flowers! The deer I see around here are so plump and happy looking. We still have a lot of green space around here. I love them... Just in somone else's yard!! 😁

I have a neighbor that pees on his roses every day when he gets home from work. He said it keeps the deer and rabbits away. Not sure of it really works, but hos roses are beautiful.

Oh man! I love deer but I love roses too. So sorry they got to yours. Never heard about peeing on them. That seems a bit extreme. Plus most of our Rose's are in the front yard so I'm pretty sure my neighbors would be upset. Lol
