_sarah_._kay_'s Journal, 07 May 20

I did a why do you self-sabatoge journal activity. And oof. Its always crazy hard core looking into your brain. More than anything all of my fears around weight loss are about the thoughts and opinions of others. From issues with toxic friends when Ive lost weight in the past to failing again in front of others. I think if I knew the emotional impacts certain "friends" I used to have would have on me. I would have cut ties long ago. I have definitely aelf sabatoged before. I lost 35 lbs around 2 yrs ago and was the smallest weight I had been since 6th grade. And I gained 50 back in one yr. Im currently down 40 lbs. I am 11 lbs away from being one lb smaller than I was before I regained the weight. And I think at this pt in my journey Im at the crossroads again. On whether I gain it back I can feel it. And I really want to let go of all of the toxic issues Im holding on to and grow as a person and grow in my health journey. More than anything I dont want one mean girl to have a hold on me anymore.

Just by simply realizing what the problems are you’re already on the right track. Bravo for you. You’re going to do extremely well and you will stay on track because you’ve worked hard for it

I know this is something very hard to follow, you are extremely young you have your whole life ahead of you. There’s a saying out there that true freedom comes, when you stop giving a damn what others think of you. So go ahead girl do you and shine bright.

Exactly what Najwa said. The toxic friends only have the control that you give them.

Whenever I encounter mean people, I always think about how awful it must be to be that person. Can you imagine what it must be like to wake up each morning full of hate and anger?

Awesome post - thanks for sharing a very important part of this process. Self reflection and getting to causes and conditions of who and what we are. I know that I had to make a lot of changes and take care of me. I had to have value and become as important in my own life. Setting boundaries is often a difficult process and maintaining them will keep the right relationships in my life. I wish you all the best on your adventure.

Shirfleur 1, I used to be like that and yes, it was pretty sucky. I'm glad that I snapped out of it and got my head out of my little box of mirrors and darkness to be a part of the world, because I was just making things hard for myself and following my birth-dad's example by being angry about the life God gave me. I am grateful that I have a life, and I'm trying to do my best to make it as great as I can, which is why I'm 16 and just now starting to take care of my body like I should.

Sarah learning self-awareness is a wonderful thing and I'm glad you're working on it. None of us are perfect and we all have moments of weakness. And Shirfleur just hit the nail on the head.

Power on. Sometimes our decisions and choices in life take years for us to realize they were in our best interest. Choosing to be healthy and vibrant will never be looked back on as a bad decision. We have many obstacles and life choices to make but some unlike our decision to be healthy will never be the wrong path we have choosen to take.

Thanks for the share and openness. Congratulations on your journey and staying focused !!🎉😊🌈. I think a lot of us have gone through similar feelings. It’s hard to reprogram our mind from conditioning, but once we see it and know it then the changes can be made. Toxic people that’s so important to remove from your life. I learned this in my mid- 30s. It’s hard but freeing and healthy. Remember always be aware of who rents space in your mind/ Life. If they are not healthy for you let them go. Keep moving forward, you got this! Good luck on your healthy lifestyle journey!!🍀🍀🍀🍀🌈🌈🌈🌈 stay safe & healthy!😊😷
