Obsessive Chocaholic's Journal, 11 Apr 13

Day 4. I wanted to eat last night at 11.30pm, which has been around the time that I ate the last two nights. I didn't want to eat chocolate or something similar, because really I felt hungry. I thought about having oatmeal but after to talking to my husband for 1/2hr, he managed to change my focus & I didn't eat. Watched TV & went to bed at 1am. Only to get back up at 3.15am, as I couldn't sleep. I wish I could get a proper sleep pattern going!!
I made myself 1 c porridge with 1/2tsp raw bran in it & about 1c milk. Then I still wasn't satisfied, so I had 2sl wwheat toast & butter & then I had a 100cals choc bar!!
Not a great start to the day. It's now 7am. I think I'll try staying up for awhile, all day if I can & then maybe I'll sleep at a reasonable time tonight.
Was too tired by 9am to stay up any longer. Slept on & off. Had my orange juice & meds at 1pm. Slept again & finally got up at 2.30pm. Still tired.
3pm 2c homemade Turkey vegetable soup & 10 grapes
4.30pm 1c raw vegetables with 2tsp Ranch Dressing
5pm Washed my car at the hand held wand car wash. Then went to Costco for a few groceries, but especially for bread from there. Flax bread made with sprouted grains & each slice has 5g Fibre. My husband doesn't like it, but I do. I find that I can eat 2sl of that bread & not crave more. Usually if I have 2 slices of even wwheat bread, that I could & often do eat at least another 2 slices.
7pm Same supper as Tuesday night. 8ozs salmon, approx 2c Jasmine Rice Pilaf & 2c mixed vegetables & ice water.
It's dark outside & I had hoped I would have the energy to go for a walk. But I'm too tired. I hope I'll get a reasonable sleep tonight & feel like a walk in the morning.
8.30pm 1 slice homemade lemon poppyseed loaf & 1c sliced strawberries.
Am going to start trying to go to bed at midnight. Pharmacist says no TV or computer for an hour before bed. Will read for the last hour.
11pm. 1sl toast & butter

It's so hard for me to eat right when I'm tired. Hopefully, you can get some good sleep tonight.

Hi mars2kids!! It's because I don't get tired at night that I don't sleep. I want to sleep during the day & I can't get that sleep pattern turned around. Yesterday it was 6am before I fell asleep even though I had been in bed since 1am. Very frustrating just lying there for 5 hrs trying to focus your brain on nothing, so that it will let you sleep. But thanks for caring!!
