New addition to the morning veggie/fruit/protein smoothie? Soaked chia seeds. Can hardly notice them when drinking the smoothie. Supposedly have many health benefits.

I have a lot of Chia seeds these days. I put them in my oatmeal many mornings. I don't love the texture, but they are supposed to be good for you! And lots of fiber! 😁 Your smoothly looks yummy!

@melussatwa Have you tried soaking the chia seeds first in a little of water or milk first (10-30 minutes)? They might blend better with the oatmeal consistency after they are softened a bit https://www.marthastewart.com/1111970/soaked-chia

I have! But I'm rather too impatient most of the time. They seem to swell up very quickly in the heat anyway! 😁 I've also made the Chia pudding overnight with some milk and berries. Sometimes I make a hot, egg custard with them and they aren't far from seeming like tapioca... With a bit of grit. They aren't my favorite, but they are good for you!
