This spoke to me a lot. I was raised with a 'walk it off, give it some air' mentality toward reacting to my body's messages. I have to see bone poking thru skin or blood coming from my eyes to go see the doctor. My friend Grace is the opposite. She is in tune with every gurgle or twitch and responds accordingly.
