1. diet will change come fall. Right now, it's all about keeping cool, which is messed up every which way. Exercise, serious sweat (is that an excuse?). However, isometrics continue. So, there is that. AC, electricity bill goes UP.

Fall is great for stews, roasts, steaks (pan-seared NY strip steak with butter and herbs), roasted/rotisseried/baked chicken with kinda salty but fantastic seasonings, carrots, etc.

2. I had absolutely no salt today. AND, my feet are swollen. ERG. I'd guess, a pound's worth. Will see what the scale says in the morning (and what my feet look like--this getting older thing is totally NOT for the faint of heart).

I tend to eat differently in the summer than I do in fall/winter. Summer is often too hot to want to turn the oven on. More salads and fruit. And like you fall and winter I love stews, roasts and maybe spaghetti. Rotiserrie chicken I get whenever I go to Costco.
