so ive had this itching going on in my right breast for a really long time. thought it was exema.. nope. got a mammogram.. normal. tried some antifungal cream.. well that little spot disappeared but it's still itchy. took some antibiotics for a completely unrelated issue.. the itch stops but then the lymph nodes in the surrounding chest area are irritated. manual breast exams from 2 different doctors.. nothing. neighbor says he had some similar issues that turned out to be autoimmune disorder brought on by extreme stress.. maybe?? ..latest visit to doc says maybe try an elimination diet cuz there's no obvious reason for this so it could be allergies.. uuh.. ok. this is gonna take some planning i think.. (when they say "elimination" they really eliminate A LOT) ..more bloodwork and tests to follow, and maybe another trip to the allergist. this crud is getting old though.. anybody out there had any similar issues? any advice?? ive had enough of feeling not quite right.

go see a naturopath if you haven't before - they can do different food sensitivity testing for you and can help heal your body in a way the doctors won't.

I had an itchy spell a couple of years ago. My doctor sent me for a mammogram and everything was fine. I used cortisone cream on the itchy patch and that quelled the itch. Ice helped too but in the middle of the night who has an ice pack at the ready? I found it just went away on its own after a couple of months. I've had other itchy areas which seem to vanish after a month or so and then a new area causes me grief. I've read that older people seem to have more problems with "idiopathic itching" but you're still a young woman aren't you? Sometimes heat can set people off so keeping cool and wearing breathable cotton clothing next to your skin might help. I doubt it's related to food allergies QueenMari3.
