Just read the article you posted on 4 June. Excellent! Additionally, congratulations on reaching your goal. In your bio you mentioned that you had been a ballet dancer. My friend, Sally Bailey Jasperson was a principle dancer with the San Francisco Ballet Company. She wrote a book, 'After the Applause Stops'. Thought you might be interested.

She also wrote 'Striving For Beauty: A Memoir of the Christensen Brothers' San Francisco Ballet'.

Thank you Erquiaga, you are sweet. I'll take a look at the book, sounds interesting! It's a particular "industry" that damages people's body and soul to some extent. We always keep ourselves in check and are very hard on ourselves even when "retired". I put on a couple lbs during a 2.5 month detraining while eating tons of junk to compensate my emotional sorrow and health problems :) Everyone slips, right, the most important thing is to get back on track. Mental strength can do amazing things!

Absolutely right! Sally is now in 86, I think. She suffers from extreme neuropathy in her feet. It is amazing that she is still able to walk. She does use a walker and no longer drives. That has not stopped her. She stays active, positive, and involved. And, of course, remains very thin. 💞

@Erq (sorry too long otherwise :)) I read 2-3 interviews with her real quick, what a lady! Let's be honest, I was not talented enough to shine like she did :) I stopped in my late 20s, my left ankle got close to what people can call ..destroyed?.. so I thought it was time to move on. I can't run nor jump properly anymore. Now I wonder if I can find her books online!

I think you can find them through Amazon. So sorry about your injuries and at such a young age. You appear to be a very bright woman. Injuries will not stop you from your goals.

I notice the Brazil nuts (noix de Brésil). I love them but they are 35 calories per nut as far as I see. They are the best!

Ireland, yes that's an eagle eye :) I love nuts, all kinds. I don't count calories anymore, I just eat what I feel like while keeping things natural, organic if possible and healthy. I know that it's hard for me to reach 1600 calories/day anyway so I eat a lot of fatty food to get there. This is the positive side of lifting, you burn calories even when you rest.

Erq, thank you, you are so kind. There is always someone brighter, prettier, thinner, but at almost 40 I am finally starting to understand that I am the only person I should compare myself to. Ballet feels like previous incarnation now, I try to work on things differently now. It's sometimes hard to find mental and physical balance, but I noticed a weird thing, it can be the same a dancer, a job seeker or a sales manager. Humans.
