Dinner tonight.... love my seafood. Wild caught salmon mini filets. Seasoned with garlic,oregano,old bay, pepper, sea salt, adobo, ground golden flax seeds and hand crushed pistachios and fresh orange slices. @keyten77, @ Davidsprincess. 🤗🥰❤️💕

They are pretty similar. The difference between DASH and Med is that DASH assigns portion sizes to food groups. For instance a serving of cooked veggies = 1/2 cup. Also, types of food slightly differ. Both require low meat servings and less red meat and pork. DASH emphasizes low sodium and potassium rich foods...it is difficult finding potassium rich meal ideas...salmon and beats are potassium rich compared to other meats and veggies...so thanks for sharing!

Bella yes Green Giant beets veggie spirals😊 honestly cheaper in the can . My one spiral I’m not a fan of. Love beets , these tend to get dry and when you can get cans for .70 cents all about that

@Keyten...I LOVE lamb!!! I had to familiarize myself with the lean cuts of meat and stay under 6 oz of cooked meat per day. The leanest cut of lamb is lamb shank. Red meat can be included in the DASH Eating Plan, but consumption should be limited and leaner varieties, such as strip steak or 90 percent lean ground beef are recommended. Grass-fed beef can be a preferable selection because it can be lower in fat. When preparing a meal, trim the fat from meats beforehand, or set up a pan for fat to drip into during cooking. Processed meats, such as hot dogs, breakfast meats, and deli meats are a significant source of sodium, so choose these less often. I was surprised to learn that lean pork chops are actually high in potassium compared to other meats! Sticking within the 3-6 oz range should mitigate the fact red meat is often high cholesterol and calories.

Oops my fault ladies. Court, keyten77 was posting about dash friendly but Larae posted as well. Larae Dash is interesting 🤗 portion control. Larae I had zero issues thus far with Sumac 🥰tastes really good. Keyten77 is right it goes a long way but not strong.

So good friend 🤗🥰 it’s been glitchy lately. I love this app and we make salmon and definitely more now than ever! First time ever with crushed nuts.

Am inspired to try to make some pistachio crusted salmon with a side of beet greens and going to try to make a beet soup...completely experimental...we will see how it goes :-/
