Lisa Online's Journal, 09 Jul 10

Meeting a newborn baby girl today! My friend neighbor who is 43 recently moved away from the neighborhood and had a beautiful daughter on June 13th! I am very happy for her as she now has a son and daughter. Hannah will bring her lots of joy I am sure.

Today I will spend the day with both of my daughters who are 10 and 20. My oldest daughter Brooke will be a Senior in college this year and is one of the people who told me about F.S. She had been overweight since she was five years old and I am so proud of her efforts as she is just a couple pounds away from reaching a 50 pound loss! Weigh to go Brookie!!! If you get a moment drop by her journal bebivens89 and cheer her on for me as she was getting discouraged every so often as we sometimes do especially when we are young and haven't learned that this process takes patience:)

3. Count calories---choose low calorie versions of food
4. Don't blame your metabolism---we under report what we eat
5. Increase protein intake--- protein keeps you fuller longer
6. Eat soup---soup fills your stomach more and takes longer to digest which makes you full longer
7. Variety is bad---we are programed to want to try everything, don't go to the buffet
8. Dairy is good---helps fat to go right through body rather than stay in
9. Exercise burns fat after you work out----even when you sleep
10. Add little bits of activities to your day---take the stairs, stand up and talk on the phone, walk around, burns calories

Congrats to your daughter!! I still have to remind myself to be patient and I'm much older than she!! It is always exciting to me to see younger women and men getting a clue long before I did!
