Happy Monday Everyone - it is a great day. I had a good weekend that also included a very tough moment. the mothers day part was awesome - My wife is an amazing Mom to my kids and I try to show her how big a deal that is. We also had to say goodbye to one of our dogs on Sunday. It was and is very sad but he is no longer suffering and gets to rejoin our other dogs that went before him. I am also a week out from reconnecting with my estranged son - an emotional period for sure. My lessons learned are that I am blessed that I am here to be present for this experience. I didn't need to use this as an excuse to find solace in food or other unhealthy behavior. I can have the feelings, good and bad - as they happened. I can be grateful for what they are teaching me in that moment. And when I can't I can pray for the patience and understanding that it will all make sense it its own time. I hope that you all find the patience to be kind to yourself and know that everything happens for a reason. To understand that the lesson isn't always for me - I might just be the catalyst for another on their journey.
