I'm a stress eater and it has def been hard this weekend not to give in. I live in NC and I'm safe where I am but worried about family with flooding. My job closed right now also because of flooding. I haven't given in to binging yet lol but have consumed a lot of calories in dinners. My bday in a few weeks and with the potential flooding we want be getting together like usual and even though I know it is trivial it still depresses me. I'm just Journaling to try and keep myself in control. I've already gained 2 lbs in the last month which I know it's a lot but could easy turn into 5 or 10 if I don't keep things under control. I just need to stay in control and think of things to do that don't involve food .

Don't know how to edit post but it's suppose to say gained 2 lbs and I know it isn't a lot .

you will make the effort to get things under control. You have time to plan meals and to prep healthy snacks that will not harm your diet. Try to focus on those positive things. the storm is not something you can control unfortunately. stay safe

It happens to us all. I got on the scale this morning and I also gained 2 lbs. back. This is why I don’t like to weight myself the day after the week-end. Just remind yourself to get back on track and don’t use it as a set back. “Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.

get on my meds they dont make you stress but make you too dizzy to eat...wellbutrin and contrave for stress eaters...I dont stress eat I have anxiety and dont tolerate dumb people very well. Better out than in..ha ha

Suggestion: volunteer. And not for the food line unless you’re packing up care boxes. I was there for Hugo and Andrew, and there’s going to be tons of stuff to do - even as simple as taking in laundry for folks who got flooded out. Keeps you busy, makes a difference, and redirects the stress into something positive. I also made some great friends I still keep in touch with.
