Happy Wednesday everyone. No big events to post other than I continue to be really grateful. Life with diabetes has become really manageable - not easy by any stretch but do-able. Reducing my carbs at each meal throughout the day has really helped to keep a sable BGL at night and in the morning - averaging in the mid 90s. so I am pretty happy. the super lows have become less frequent and the highs have also become less often (unless I know I over did the carbs). I don't feel the least bit deprived in my food choices or the amount of food available at any meal. I really fell like there is an enormous freedom. Really grateful for you all and my super supportive wife. My lesson learned this past week is from the excessive smoke in the air due to the fires...so I just went to grab a cough drop like I have done with out though in the past...well those buggars have a ton of sugar and glucose. so I have to go an buy sugar free ones - this had never even occurred to me that I needed to pay attention to this as I hardly ever use them. so like everything else - I need to read the labels and make sure that it is a worthwhile risk to my blood sugar. My goal is still to get even lower on my injected insulin - labs and appointments are in October. hopefully things are going well. my mantra is to remain stable (Alive too). I hope that you are all finding joy on your life adventure.
