Again this morning I realized how far I’ve come as to portion control and eating habits. I was going to have a protein breakfast of eggs and sausage only. Then decided since we would be skipping lunch in favor of a junk food snack later that I’d better add a biscuit as well. I get shakey and feel ill if I am active and don’t eat enough in the heat. I honestly wasn’t that hungry but it’s better to eat a healthier breakfast now than be starving later and gorge on amusement park food. I forced myself to finish the last half of biscuit as I know from experience that I’ll need that it if extra food once we start walking everywhere with me volunteering to carry the backpack(burns more calories and I don’t care for the rides). Now I’d be even better if the temp would stay under 85 and the Oklahoma humidity would give it a rest!

I am glad you are eating for your needs. worrying about every little thing and not fueling your body enough just causes problems in the long run. You will find what works for you. Looking forward to see how you do on your new exercise program

Thanks :). I do tend to obsess but it usually works for me. Realized about 3pm that junk wasn’t going to work and even hubby was lightheaded and weak. We grabbed a burger and I ate it all not realizing how hungry I’d been. Chased it down with 2 large ice teas and felt much better. Was able to keep dinner down to 1 cup of food (weighed it though) and didn’t eat until 10pm. Still lost 0.2 so alls good. Either underestimated my exercise or overestimated my food. Could be some dehydration as well even though I drank way more than usual since I was out in the heat. I had expected a 2# gain and was ok with that but very happy to find that I didn’t gain.

Yep! I’m experimenting with the foods I can have, seeing what some triggers are and seeing just what my maintenance calories should be on the average day. It’s kind fun figuring that stuff out but frustrating too. Would be nice if there was a manual tailored to each of us that told us what would happen depending on what we ate and how much ;).
