My weight is up again. My Dr is also monitoring my BP for the beginnings of HTN. That means 2 things...I need to 1. loose weight and 2. decrease salt in my food which is my weakness. I'm still exercising hard 4 to 5 days a week by dragonboating which helps. So...now I really need to begin to record everything again. Loosing weight is one thing, but maintaining a healthy BP, cholesterol level and weight (all combined) becomes much more serious. (these are the 3 main markers for type 2 diabetes). Diabetes is prevalent in my family so at this point in time, it starts to get serious. My goals are to 1. record everything I eat for the next two months when I see my dr again and 2. aim for a 10 lb weight loss by the time of my next appointment to around 165-168 mark, 3. Go low carb, specifically by reducing or avoiding carbs. This has worked for me before. So By putting this out there, I'm committing to this. Thanks everyone for your support.

You can do this! Having a goal thats focused more around your well being rather than just on how you look is much more motivating. Salt is my biggest weakness too. I've been weaning myself off by using lemon and spices for taste and seems to be a nice substitute:)

It is a big commitment to make to yourself and it’s time consuming etc. But you’ve got to love yourself in order to love yourself 💕
