This week I am refocusing. Somehow I have developed an urgent sense of getting my house into shape and that is taking time away from my weight loss program. Last night I put together mason jars of fruit for the smoothies for the week. This morning I put the chocolate chip zucchini bread on the work-share table. Why do people always reward me with food that is fattening and also gives me a headache (migraine from bittersweet chocolate)? Why do I take it? Must fight the greed involved in the chocolate gifts!
Starting a cleanse again today, which means planning ahead. Taking an idea from another FS member, I prepped fruit for smoothies for the week. Will shop tonight and make dinners for the week for the freezer. Figured out that the Kale salad kit can be lightly sauteed with bacon and comes out delicious, so that will be the base of half the meals, with sweet potatos also.
Prepping: tofu "meatballs", chicken thighs with cranberry sauce, sweet potato and kale sauteed with bacon and butter. I have a head of lettuce and will get some cherry tomatoes for salads. Also making cauliflower pizza - I guess I can freeze those too. Will put together lunches again - deli ham with cheddar, almond flour crackers, and hopefully the pineapple is still edible.
I am finding that I have a lot of food out of a usual shopping trip if I am only eating 1300 to 1400 calories a day - everything goes a lot further split up into the right sized portions.
Hope you are having a great Tuesday!

Well done with the food prepping 🙂

Awesome prepping! I find that food can go a long ways if portioned and frozen. I still haven't learned to cook for one so most everything has leftovers. It's also easier to grab something healthy and heat it up instead of opting for something unhealthy for you.
