Well, I've not been posting here because I've been busy practicing for a speech contest, and I WON!! Here is the link to the video:

If you have 6 or 7 minutes to spare, please watch and let me know what you think. I used my 90 pound weight loss as the vehicle for this inspirational speech. I was very pleased with the way it turned out. I got a lot of laughs!

My weight crept up a little, but my clothes are still loose, so I can only guess that my body is still gaining muscle at the gym. Awesome!

Gym progress has been terrific and I'm lifting more and longer than ever before. Clothes continue to feel looser in spite of the scale numbers remaining stable. So what.

Carbs and sugar have begun to hold appeal to me for the first time since I started low carb back in August/September of last year. While grocery shopping at Walmart the other day, I walked passed the cracker and cookie aisle which I usually do with no problem, but the grocery cart stopped moving rather suddenly. I looked down, thinking the wheels got caught on something when I realized that the reason the cart stopped moving was because my feet stopped moving. I looked up to see why and low and behold, Blond Oreos with Lemon filling. I looked down at my feet and willed them forward, one step at a time.

That didn't used to happen, but now that I'm aware that it might, I will be on guard!

It's been too long since I've seen the 180s on my scale, but it's sure nice. Hello, old friend!

Not sure why I suddenly dropped like a stone, but there it is. The mysteries of the walking chemistry sets never cease to amaze me.

I'm going to be delivering a speech at the end of this month and my original goal was to have dropped 100 pounds (to 180) by then, but I won't be able to say that truthfully - however, if it's 93 or whatever it is, I'll just say that. But it's got me fired up to come as close as I can to 180 by Feb 28th. It's another Toastmasters speech contest, so there will of course be a video to watch after.

Regardless of how close I come to 180, I know it will at least BE in to 180s somewhere, and that's great. I have my "game face" on , whatever that means, haha. I've been kicking ass at the gym lately and if I get the cardio in that I want, I might get even more progress soon.

I truly believe that if I could break through the 187-190 barrier that my body seems to love so much, I could keep going down easily from there. Fingers crossed and thanks to all my friends and supporters who have stood by me during this lousy slump!

I feel like I'm heading down the scale and I hope it's not just wishful shrinking!
