Started walking a mile every morning with a friend on March 1. We do skip weekends. I can tell a difference on how my clothes fit, although not much lost in weight. Was on a 15 day cruise in February. I lost 2 lbs on the cruise, but gained them back quickly when I returned home. Struggling each day to keep the carbs low. Still working on Keto and Intermittent Fasting. Walking seems to recharge my energy. Also in the midst of garden season, so keeping busy with that.

Fasting blood sugar 135, weight 164.2
It is cold in north Texas. We broke a record this morning, 9 degrees, but no precip, at least at our house. Wind chill is in the negatives. Expecting 6 degrees in the morning. I know that is nothing compared to what northern states are experiencing. All our plumbing comes in on the north side of this old farm house, so we always turn off the water at the meter and drain the pipes when it is freezing. Have containers of water all over the kitchen and bathrooms. But we have a wood stove and will stay warm if electricity goes off as it did in February for the last two years.
Hubby's nephew is a volunteer fireman. He had to be out Saturday night from 2am to 6:30 am fighting a fire. He said his moustache had ice in it. God bless all of our public servants who have no respite in this kind of weather.
Staying at home today, trying to resist the munchies. Cold seems to make them worse!!! I prepared for possible power outages by cooking a crockpot of soup and a crockpot of chicken breast and potatoes. Have a salad in the refrigerator.
We will fare ok but I am concerned about those homeless everywhere!

Didn't lose any weight overnight, but managed to keep today's net sugars to 117. Macros: 9 carbs/72 fat/19 protein. Bedtime glucose was 90 so I feel ok about today's eating.
Working still on reorganizing kitchen. Have cleaned out drawers and relined most of them but hubby needs to do a few repairs on them before I finish that job.
We have had rain and thunderstorms, high winds. Getting ready for some really low temps this weekend. News warns about possibility of rolling blackouts of electricity. The last two years that has been our February weather; this year it is getting back to what we generally dread for January.
