I made this cake today. The cake itself is made with King Arthur’s baking sugar alternative, which means there are 0 calories in sugar in this cake. The frosting is butter cream with real sugar & real butter. Cal counts below .

Okay- I had to give in tonight and let the local smoke house help me out. Half a Reuben, half a pulled pork on brioche bun, side of fries, and three bacon wrapped jalapeños poppers with sweet chili sauce. And, yes I ate all of it 😋

Chocolate polvorones w/raw sugar on top. Reduced to 62 cals a pop. And, cranberry oatmeal cookies with ground flax & chia seed. Reduced from 130 cals/cookie to 111. No vegetable oil added just apple sauce & KA’s sugar alternative 😁

An excerpt from this morning's reading mediation (It's one of my favorites):
Mantra to use when one is lost in fear and depression:
Emmanuel - Book II
...without even knowing the meaning of it, you say with every inhalation, "I choose love here. I choose love," you will see the light change and the darkness dispel.
Your mind may say, "I don't know what happened. All I did was sit here for 15 minutes choosing love. "Well, mind that is all that is required."
The lifeline, the golden rope is to know there is such a thing as love and in that moment, you are empowered to choose it...even if your heart is breaking and you feel on the edge of collapse, say "I choose love." By this mantra you silence the lifelong mantra that would choose fear.
And, if fear seems to follow...
Hold fear in one hand. Hold love in the other. Holding both, choose love, and choose love again.
Fear is the frightened child
Love is flame of holy remembering...
