I was wondering why there were so many pictures of fruit, sweets, and other no-nos on my feed. Then, I realized that "Featured" was selected, and not "Following". It also explains all the trouble people were having with their diets. Getting away from the constant hunger has to be my favorite thing about keto - that and reducing the pain!
When I stick with keto and don't overexert myself, the pain is down about 2 or 3, which is totally manageable.
Time for some coffee, and more writing. (I just woke from a five hour "nap".)

It's not a water fast, but it is significant that I did not eat anything solid, and it had no impact on my insulin. It is a type of fast, and I felt I could do it. I'll keep it up until my body says to eat something. I just passed the twenty-four hour mark.

The line, "...like taking a snorkel to a bicycle race" made me laugh. Well, it's time for my daily attempt at fasting for longer than 24 hours. One of these days, I'll do it.
Now, I plan to read my copy of *The Complete Guide to Fasting" again. Keto kept me off of all chemical medications, and the natural supplements I'm taking should be OK

Terrible pain came today after the salad. I have not had salad for awhile. I spent six of seven hours hobbling from my bed to the bathroom. Perhaps, the drive into San Antonio to see my doctor caused too much stress on my midsection. My doctor added a new supplement to help with the swollen feet. That gives me three possibilities to test. Doctor suggested keeping a diary of food and activity to track what might be causing this pain. It's a good thing I'm already on Fat Secret, eh?

The Higi machine recorded a slight gain this morning. I have swollen ankles, so this could be water retention. We'll see the doctor later this morning.
