So, yesterday I decided to join the Weight Loss Challenge of drinking 1 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar a day. This morning I attempted my first drink. It was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted. I even added about a cup of water to the 1 cup of vinegar. I got about a quarter of it drank, before my gag reflex kicked in and my stomach started rebelling. I tossed the rest of it down the drain. It burned all the way down my throat too. I had a sprite sitting next to me, something to chase it with, and where I wanted to do my Premier Protein drink, I was afraid to because it does have milk in it. Milk + Vinegar = curdled milk, which in turn equals vomiting (in my case). Half a sprite, a cup of coffee and 1 full fat, choc glazed cake donut from a local bakery later, and I'm still tasting (burping up) the vinegar. I'm fairly sure that I will not be continuing on this challenge. I just can't stomach it.

The good news is, I am down a pound today. And not due to the vinegar lol! But, yesterday, I didn't each much, I had a Mocha dark chocolate Kind bar, some peanut butter and animal crackers (not even a full serving of animal crackers), and that one can of Marie Callender's Chicken n Dumpling soup. I chose to go to the library and study last night, well work on a couple of Algebra problems, instead of heading straight home from work. This meant, by the time I got home, I wasn't hungry, so I just stored the left over dinner that my husband had cooked in the fridge, washed up the dishes, and headed off to bed.

Blood sugar this morning was 125, oh, and I did just remember, I did have a bowl of cinnamon frosted flakes with whole milk last night before bed.

Take care ya'll!

So, I have decided why the Vinegar drink works....you don't feel like eating after you drink that stuff. Even Several hours later, when I went for lunch, I couldn't eat all of the chicken sandwich, nor could I eat all the hashbrowns. And now, I feel uncomfortingly full.

So, last night I met up with a classmate to study algebra. We got all but 2 problems completed, and one of them was just entirely too long to figure out how to factor and blah blah blah. I don't get algebra, I don't understand it, and people can say all they want that it's logical, and I will disagree. At no point is math logical, and especially when you throw the alphabet into it. That being said, I dreamed about Algebra last night, really. However, when I woke this morning, I think I figured out how to factor one of the problems.

I'm going to talk to my husband about us working on low carbs, high protein foods. He's retired, and where he can skip bread and white potatoes no worries, I have a hard time giving up those items. I used to eat all the brown breads, until one day, I just couldn't do it anymore. It got to the point to where every bite of brown bread I took felt and tasted like I was eating a sponge. Has anyone else ever noticed that the healthy foods cost way more than the non-healthy foods? And most times, the shelf live isn't near as long either. Just sad really.

I want to plant a garden, with some bell peppers, squash, zuchini and such. However, I have discovered about the only thing I can grow are hot peppers. And then only when our border collie was alive, apparently he went around several times a day and peed on them and that's why they grew. This last year when I planted the hot peppers, they didn't grow either. And yes, that was a little gross, sorry guys.

I got on the scales yesterday, didn't gain, didn't drop, but I'm ok with that. My blood sugar this morning was 128, down a little from yesterday. I'm ok with that too.

For lunch, I'm going to go for a walk. Didn't get to yesterday because it was raining. But I do try to walk for about 30 minutes while at lunch, most times I succeed. Does anyone here have a fitbit? If so, are you possibly interested in being fitbit buddies and doing challenges and such? I'm not really a competitive person, my husband is, but I'm not. But I'm willing to help others with meeting their challenges. It's kind of like Algebra, I don't understand it, but I can try to help others work the problems, and somehow or another, it helps me too.

Today's entry is a little scattered, but I'm feeling a little scattered, so I'll sign off now. Ya'll have a great day!
