I knew today would be a challenge because I had plans to go to Islands for lunch. My usual is the burger with teriyaki sauce, at least two helpings of fries, and at least two glasses of pop. I ordered unsweetened ice tea which I really like, a burger with no bun, and a side Cesar and saved myself a ton of carbs. I was full, too, though emotionally I wanted more and had to force myself not to eat the fries and nachos my friends ordered.

I made mozzarella stuffed meatballs and marinara, made pasta for my family but didn’t have any, a lovely salad with bleu cheese dressing, and chocolate mousse with sugar-free pudding mix. A great day of eating! I had just under my RDI and stayed in my 100 g daily carb limit. And as an emotional stress eater, this is a big deal for me. For once I don’t hate myself for being full!
