Day 5 done and I am happy with my progress. I have moved to the STRICT Keto lifestyle in order to save my pancreas. The fact that I have made it to day 5 has been an accomplishment for me. I have the support of my hubby and stepson and I have an accountability partner.
I have an 1800 calorie goal and I keep carbs to about 10 net carbs but I can only eat on average 1400-1500. Yes, I am losing weight and "somewhat" active but not really lol.
My new favourite breakfast (as I was not a breakfast person) is 3 eggs, 3 large mushrooms and 50 grams of feta cheese cook all together as a scrambled eggs mixture. Oh my, it is so delicious!
The real test will be this weekend since my stepson is over (our weekend) and can I keep committed to myself.
My biggest motivator is to keep my blood sugars consistent and keep myself feeling good. Have an amazing weekend everyone!

Losing weight quickly mainly due to the removal of sugars and strict keto. of course during the first week there will be water loss mainly.

Well, day 2 of following STRICT KETO - no sugars and eating every few hours to keep my blood sugars consistent. IT IS WORKING. Have the anticipated headaches and trying to keep my electrolytes up - need to work on that.
Weight is coming off easily and (which is not my "main" focus but still needed) but I am excited by my graphs for my blood sugars more than anything. Consistency is starting.

Here we are end of today (Sunday). I have cleaned out my pantry, donated good food to the food bank and also cleaned out the fridge. I went to the store and made sure I purchased everything I need to eat on plan this week. I cleaned my room and planted flowers in the front garden. I kept busy today. Blair (my hubby) took me to Pink Cadillac for supper and I ate 1/2 of a chocolate milkshake and then a caddy burger (no bun) and a few mouthfuls of poutine. It was just too much (so disappointed since I wanted to gorge but at the same time happy because I feel committed to starting my health revolution).
I am tired. I feel good though. Time to feel my body getting healthy and stave off surgery.
