Busy busy couple of weeks. Went to my mom's for the weekend. Attended a birthday party for 2 nephews and a going away party for one of them. This week has been spent going to my MIL's house and trying to get ready for the auction. She NEVER threw anything away!!! We has digging and sorting literally thousands of items. Thrown away over 20 of the 55 gallon size trash bags of pure junk! We have a little over a week left to get ready. Our son and family came a couple of times and that was a big help. Going back again today and tomorrow. Will be glad when it is in the rearview mirror!!

Went to my niece's wedding last Friday. Was nice to see so many relatives, and meet new people. Got to know the groom's grandmother, a lovely lady. Went for my 6 month checkup and doc says my white cell counts are still off and I need to eat more proteins. The Zetia seems to be helping the cholesterol. I had taken statins for years and suddenly my liver enzymes when haywire and cholesterol shot way up when i quit taking the statins. All else was good, tho I went to donate blood 2 days ago and they wouldn't take it because my hemoglobin was too low, but barely. We finally met with an auctioneer about selling my MIL's possessions. It was emotionally exhausting! I know we have to do it to get the probate over with, but she loved her things and I hate to see them scattered to the four winds. Just have to hope they will go to people to will love them too. There are around 100 McCoy cookie jars and other McCoy pieces, plus Fostoria, Fenton, toothpick holders galore, quilts, etc, etc.

What a couple of weeks this has been! Held the inurnment for my beloved mother in law on the 24th. We counted 81 people at the graveside and/or dinner and not sure we got everyone. The dinner went well. I ordered the meat and a cousin helped with the sides. I had lots of cookies left and bagged them up and sent them home with all the children who were there. My granddaughter who lives so far away was here, and it was wonderful to see her. The youngest grandchild stayed with us for a week afterward and she is delightful. Now our grandson is here this week helping hubby build a pond. He is such good help. Took to running the tractor, bulldozer, and backhoe like a champ. The boy is a natural. We think he should consider becoming a heavy equipment operator. The only downside is I gained 3 pound between cooking for the inurnment dinner and having the kids here and fixing things for them that I wouldn't normally fix (carbs!!). I've managed to lose 1 of those pesky pounds and need to work on the other 2.

Going to be a busy week. Having graveside services/inurnment for my MIL on Saturday followed by a fellowship meal for friends and family. I'm planning on people coming from all over the state. A cousin is helping prepare the food. I'm looking forward to it and yet will be glad when it is over.

I got home in plenty of time from my meeting before the colonoscopy pills started working. Had to drink a half gallon of prep solution during the evening. The first half made me so very sick!! Vomiting, cold sweats, and trying to pass out. Hubby was a trooper applying cold compresses while I puked! That finally passed and I was wondering how on earth I was going to get the second half of the prep solution down. Surprsingly it didn't bother me at all. The actual colonoscopy of course was easy peasy. Get an IV and wake up when it's over. Results were pretty good, some diverticulosis that I already knew about and another polyp that was sent off but looked ok visually. Glad that's in the rear view mirror! I was down to 124 this morning, but won't record it cause it is a result of the prep and won't last.
