I am struggling to to determine what my goal weight truly is. I’m coming very close to my “goal”which I set when I was about 75lbs heavier. Much of my weight gain was done during high school so now that I am a young adult, I am seeing my fully developed body at this lower weight for the first time ever. With less than 5 pounds to go, I have decided I’m going to be continue to lose weight. I imagine I’ll stop in the 135-140lb range (I’m 5’10) but it’s hard to say how I’m going to see myself when I get there. I’ve also become accustomed to quite a severe caloric deficit that I’ve been strict with for the past few months. Now that I’m adding 15-20lbs to lose to my goal, maybe I should let up on restricting my intake so heavily. Does anyone have some advice for figuring out an end point for weight loss? and/or how to stay motivated with a slower rate of loss? (I can’t help but try to lose weight as fast as possible which I know isn’t the healthiest way to go about it). Thanks!
