I went to the gym, signed up and walked on the treadmill for 50 minutes. I got the usual dizziness when I got off the treadmill from not cooling down properly, and not having enough time to do so. Brain was still in motion haha. I'm going to go this morning and make sure I have enough time to warm up and cool down. My husband has decided to join the gym too. I'm making sure, that along with myself, my best friend and husband that we are all eating enough calories / proteins, etc to meet our goals. our past failures were not eating enough and skipping meals, so we will be sure to be mindful of that!

over the weekend, i took a walk outdoors instead of the gym and had an asthma attack, while power walking up a slight hill. it was approaching evening, it was breezy, lots of sand and pollen in the air. i was reminded why i prefer indoor exercise. so bizarre, i have not had problems with asthma in nearly a year! however, with my nose running while walking and not having tissues to blow my nose, it did not surprise me!

sunday i went to the state fair grounds and did a lot of walking all day. it was very mild out and i was wearing my skecher sneakers with the rounded soles to push my balance and burn.... it felt good. we were walking from 10am-2pm so even if it was a casual stroll, it was still enough to create impact!

this morning i'm headed back to the gym for more cardio. also making sure that today i graze on lots of proteins and veggies. i'm doing something right, i dropped nearly 2 lbs already. i love my metabolism and how responsive my body is to "doing the right thing". its a nice feeling.

everyone have a good productive week and thanks for sharing as you all always do! you're appreciated!!

I recently gained weight back. Hanging out with my friends and lots of late nights, led to just ... too much sugar intake. This past week, my husband went to the doctor and she recommended that he start walking 45 mins a day.

Being the good wife, I said I agreed i would meet him after work each day and walk with him at 7:15pm each evening. I have been wearing my garmin vivosmart to track my steps. i'm meeting my goal every day, even before i began walking at night, no problem, however with the weight gain i think i'm not doing something right.

so, i'm back on fat secret to start being more accountable with what i am putting in my mouth and actually looking at what i'm eating. my goal is to eat 800-1000 low-carb calories (i'm short). i'm also working on excluding sugars and corn syrups from my diet.

today my best friend and i are going to sign up at the gym, since he has lot a lot of muscle and dropped body mass, he wants to regain it. having a work out buddy will be very helpful!

so my vision is to create a routine that will include 4 days a week going to the gym for an hour to do walking on the treadmill (i live in the desert so the sand is always blowing this time of the year, hard to go walking outside). after a few weeks of getting my metabolism up from walking an hour in the morning and 45 mins at night with my husband, i will get back into jogging on the treadmill. i find my body responds very well to cardio when trying to lose weight, combined with calorie accountability.

i'm looking forward to greater routine and structure in the upcoming weeks.

I've taken about a week to step away from the lo-cal diet and eat normally. i'm being mindful to watch my fats to avoid headaches. its so easy to eat portioned foods and forget to use fats, because of the subconscious though of "i want to lose fat" and end up eating foods that do not have enough fat to sustain. i end up leaning towards fruit and veggies to lose weight, which works great until the body gets crazy from not getting enough fats. so, i'm switching it up this week. i'm going to be focusing on more light combo foods, like millet, cottage cheese and butter, other cheeses, nuts, tofu. another thing i'm looking at is my choice is foods is leaning towards a more acidic pH. i need to become more alkaline. i want to balance my pH and be more mindful of my foods, so i do not get gastric problems. i feel that increasing fat intake will naturally increase my proteins and i'll focus on my fibers from alkaline foods like broccoli, lettuce, peppers, apple, sweet potato.
