HAPPY EASTER!!!

Wonderful day, beautiful weather, great time with family and those like family today. Nomad rocks and the Easter service did not disappoint! I hope you celebrated this day in your own way and shared it with all the ones you love.

Breaking News: I took a NAP!!!

Yesterday was my birthday, and I had to work in the morning but the rest of the day I spent here at home, which was fine because it's going to be a crazy week ahead. I cooked for me and my sis... grilled chicken, some yummy veggies and pasta, had a couple cold ones, made myself a cake that was a big treat. Did good this past week on food and ok on exercise.

I am getting prepared to leave for Cayo Costa on Thursday... that's when I will actually "celebrate" my birthday with my buddies. Looking forward to 5 days of being outdoors in God's beautiful creation on the Gulf of Mexico, hanging out, fishing, shelling, hiking, biking, and kayaking. Oh, and eating and drinking a little. :-)

I work a half day tomorrow, then all day Tues and Weds so I am starting to pack now! No weigh-in for BLN today and I will be gone next Sunday, so it will be the 22nd before my next weigh-in. I will rock it.

It's amazing how quickly life can become crazy. It's my never-ending challenge, to balance taking care of myself and taking care of others.

My sister had her knee surgery and then went to rehab for physical therapy, she is home now and doing pretty good but she has to have a lot of assistance from me. I had a birthday cookout for her on Saturday, mostly family and a couple neighbors. It was really fun!

Work is busy at Segunda Vida and I have picked up a couple of painting jobs on the side that I'll be doing this week. It will be some extra income that we can use for sure!

I have got to make sure I get my exercise in. It is number one on the priority scale. As long as I get my cardio and weights in, the weight drops even though I may not be perfect on the diet every day. If I don't get the required exercise, the weight loss stalls or I start gaining it back. This is where I have given up so many times in the past, the frustration of it all.

I will never, ever, give up.

Let me repeat that. I will never, EVER give up.

Not a great week for weight loss, I didn't get in much cardio but my food was pretty good. Not feeling too hot off and on, tummy trouble again. Feel ok right now, but not 100%. I think I will do a day of just liquids, sometimes that helps me when I have a recurring bout of this stuff. I have a feeling I know why I showed a slight gain yesterday but that would be "TMI"... Ha-ha. Anyway I'm sure I'll be right back in the thick of things at next week's weigh-in.

No excuses.


Cleaning out the garage today, a much needed project. My sister is still in the rehab facility for physical therapy, she will be there another week I think. I took one of the Shelties to visit her Friday evening, he was washed and brushed and adorable and everyone wanted to see him. He would make such a wonderful therapy dog, I wish my sister would get him certified. Maybe I can get her started and she can use him to help with her own therapy, it would be good.

Well back to the garage and then to the yard, it is a beautiful day here and I love being outside!
