Happy Hump Day - here we are at the half way mark for the week. I met with my Diabetic nurse yesterday to go over my progress and I got really fantastic news. All of my labs are normal - HDL, LDL triglycerides, kidney function and BP...all in healthy ranges. They even want to review my medications after we do labs again next month; possibly another reduction. What the heck does that have to do with anything here - well, it all has to do with diet and exercise (with a little medication). in approximately 107 days post ICU I have Diabetes in control based on diet. I eat well and I eat a lot; however, it is all portioned and balanced. you have all inspired me to do the right things and stay the course. I have taken this part of my life very seriously and there is a tangible result. I am down 70 lbs. in two years and working a good work out routine. I am so grateful for my health and all of those who support me , most of all my wife who is my rock through all of this. I really hope that everyone has a great day and enjoys this adventure we call life. Namaste -
