2 miles walked with doggies today....UGH Index probably a 4-5 with good cloud cover and temps in the low 80's. It's still humid with not much breeze, but whatchagonnado?

I anticipate cutting the lawn this afternoon, if the rain stays away. We've had deluges the past 2 days and the grass LOVES it! The weekend looks to be a total rainout, so if I wait until next week, well, I might not see out my front door! LOL!

Sandy, mowing is on my agenda for this weekend. We had about 3/4 inch of rain in about 30 minutes on Monday, and the grass has gone crazy! Of course, it helped the garden as well. Great job with the walk. The UGH factor here has been just about nil, as we have had some lovely temps in the 80's but the humidity has stayed at about 40%, which for St. Louis is amazing. Have a great day and enjoy the weekend, even though it is supposed to be a wash out! HUGS!

It seems the grass grows faster than we can keep up..I hate the humidity..it zaps your energy...and its hard to breath in it..hope it cools down some before you have to mow...have a great weekend...:O)

The UGH factor being a 4-5 doesn't sound bad - doesn't it max out at 10? Are you getting soft on us? Seriously - hate that it is going to rain on your weekend. Hope you can get your lawn work done in time.

I know about the UGH factor and humidity, it zaps your energy whatever you are doing. Hope you get grass cut, know what its like to have to wait and cut thru the forest !

Stef, our tomatoes have really appreciated the rain too. Of course, the weeds have gone nuts, so there's always that to do as well. Take it easy this weekend!

Bren, it was as "cool" as it was going to get, I'm afraid. At least the rain held off and the cloud cover stayed so it was as comfortable as it gets in the summer. The only thing that could have gone better was if the string trimmer had actually started - darn thing!

Yes, Buffy, the UGH Index maxes out at 10. Truly, with low 80's and humidity that is something less than "wet blanket," well, that's about a 4-5.....as it can get a WHOLE lot worse!!! LOL! Lawn work got done....muscles got fatigued! Nothing to do this weekend but stay inside and watch the rain.

Notfast, I hear you on cutting through a forest! We've got the grass that is supposed to be mowed high anyway, so if it gets too long, well, it's nearly impossible to mow. Hope you enjoy the weekend.

Don't you just love it when the rain makes everything all green & fresh again! Beautiful sight! Let's hope for low humidity.
