good morning everyone - just checking in to say I am doing great. we made a pasta dish last night and it turned out pretty good - we used ground pork loin instead of sausage to cut the calories and fat (remember I am not on Keto just a diabetic friendly diet) and we decided to skip the whole wheat pasta and just use less regular as the numbers didn't make any sense to do so. there is just so much to learn on food and how it interacts with me. as a follow up to this my blood sugars were pretty stable through bed time and this morning so again pretty pleased. I am off to grab my morning Americano with a little sugar free vanilla syrup and cinnamon. I hope that you all are successful in pursuing your goals on this life adventure.

I am diabetic too. When I first found out about 2-3 years ago. I was in the 400 range. Right away they started making me take insulin. But they did tell me at that time if my reading was too high to walk for 30 min. and drink water. That helps the sugar go down. So I would do that and I started to watch my diet better and they took me off of insulin. Now I'm working to get off the pills. Especially since I also found out I'm in 3rd stage kidney failure. The kidney Dr. said I've been stable for about a year. I'm trying to avoid going on dyalisis. My A1C is about 6.5 right now. I wish you the best on your diet.

Always great to hear positive results from fellow diabetics your both doing great because you changed your woe. I ended my meds in early December but will always continue to eat this way and test my numbers A1c 4.3. There are so many hidden sugars and or carbs you really have to be careful. Good luck Tahoe, and Gardenia!

Correction about the range your blood sugar should be- 70 - 130. Sorry about that. I just remembered. I thought 300 was too high!
