Baileyrose85's Journal, 12 Apr 12

Ugh, as I sit here telling one of my buddies not to beat themselves up too bad, here I am kicking myself in the ass over not going to the gym AGAIN this morning.

I was awake, I could have gone. At least I am not seeing a gain on the scale and that is a plus. I may decide to sneak to the gym after work for a run and call it good, if the fiance will allow it without too much of a fit. I have a lot of packing and cleaning to do tonight. We are going to shoot to leave at about 9am tomorrow. Tomorrow, I have, have, have to get up and go to the gym before we leave. Today is an awful day for eating. Breakfast potluck for my dear friend Adam, whose last day before paternal leave is today. Baby should be here by Monday at the latest. They will be inducing if he doesn't come on his own over the weekend. Then employee appreciation lunch today, complete with taco salad from a local mexican food restaurant. Not horrible, I guess but definitely not good. I don't even know how to log it!

Hope everyone has a good day!

That's so crazy how quickly breakfast foods can add up... it's a good thing I don't have much time for a big breakfast most days! Make sure to get in that trip to the gym - your fiance can just deal with it.. no fits allowed..

I have to agree with your other buddies. There is nothing that will make you regret working out. :) I have been such a slow starter myself, when it comes to working out. It took me more than a year to actually get going on it. At first I was too heavy to really do much, then I was too lazy. Now, I feel horrible if I haven't reached med 3000 calories burned in a day. I have this as a daily mission, and it's totally accomplishable when I put my mind to it. The trick is to get there, to convince yourself. Once you've done it, you feel amazing. Remember that feeling next time you're trying to talk yourself into skipping. :)

A good day of food management is a win, if you could get your run in it could help the stress, that would be a win win... nothing to beat yourself up about.
