3.1 miles walked this morning with both doggies via the lake route, for a change in scenery. Another bright sunny day, but cool enough to wear jeans. Was able to take off my gloves and earband near the end of the walk.

I have an early start today and an erratic schedule due to taking DH to/from work and an eye appt. this afternoon.

After successfully detouring the Girl Scout cookies this weekend, what did I see on TV this morning? Oreos turn 100!!! LOVE Oreos just about as much as the GS cookies! While I doubt I can postpone celebrating Oreos until they turn 200, at least I can wait until they turn, maybe....125? Well, maybe 110. LOL!

I did some calculating yesterday as to what I've done in the last 10 days and just want to record it here for my reference....10 day period 2/25 - 3/5....5 pounds dropped....ave cal = 1435.....ave TC = 30.5.....ave NC = 21.15.....ave carb % = 8.49%. The only sugar alcohols were in the Saturday pancake syrup (and there were 2 Saturdays in this period). Major focus on getting all my water in - and then some. When hungry, I actually ate and didn't try to postpone. TRIED to add more veggies but still quite shy of the 12-15 NC target. Also ate protein when hungry.

This sounds odd but I have actually dropped my water consumption from 4 quarts a day to 3 quarts a day. When I am drinking the extra water my nocturnal foot cramping is worse. It makes sense when you think about it I guess. Great job on your 10 days.

Sounds like too much water is flushing the....what is it....potassium?....out of your system which results in the cramping. So glad to read that Paige is home. Rest up from your weekend with your grandson!!!

Hi Sandy! First of all, major congratulations on the 5 pound loss, WOO HOO!!!! Thanks for posting your numbers during this period of time, it's very much appreciated. May I ask if this represents a significant change in what you had been doing previously? For instance, were you eating things that contained sugar alcohols more often or in greater amounts? Are you drinking a lot more water? Increased the fats? Inquiring minds wanna know, lol! Congrats again Sandy, you're a true inspiration (and my hero for successfully avoiding the sweet temptation of GG cookies!). : )

WAy to go on the loss my friend...I agree drinking too much water is not good...there is a balance in there somewhere...great job on passing the cookies or avoiding them...So glad Oreo's are not my favorite but I love a good Chocolate covered graham once in a while..:O)
