Decided to set some mini goals. Should (hopefully) boost my effort to achieve those goals and bring satisfaction when they're met! I just hope I can meet them, lol!

200lbs - 02/18/12 --16 lbs lost
195lbs - 03/03/12 --21 lbs lost
185lbs - 04/07/12 --31 lbs lost
175lbs - 05/12/12 --41 lbs lost
160lbs - 06/30/12 (my 10 year reunion!) --56 lbs lost
150lbs - 08/04/12 --66lbs lost
135lbs - 09/23/12 (my 28th bday & married weight!!) --81 lbs lost
130lbs - 10/13/12 (final weight!) --86 lbs lost

Counting it up, I pretty much average a 2 lb weight loss per week, which is what is recommended. Hopefully I will have some weeks higher to make up for the standstills that I know will occur!

i absolutely agree that setting mini goals helps push u along.. as long as you don't dwell on them really heavily. I haven't hit any of my mini goals yet ..lol..but as long as i'm close and have progressed over all i'm happy.. good luck to you!

Thanks! That's what I thought too! It will help to strive towards the small goal that is closer rather than looking towards the end goal that is (or seems to be) so far away, lol! When I tried dieting last year, I only focused on the long term goal, thought I had plenty of time, and then ended up losing focus and never made it close. I won't let myself get down if I miss my goal. I will just reset it and start again. This is my main goal--don't give up!! I really want this to be a life change, so if I mess up one meal, I just try again with the next meal. So far, it is working! :) As long as the scale doesn't go back up, I'm doing good!
