Walked 3.3 miles this morning with DH and doggies; encountered a friendly but rather insistent loose dog.

As an intact male, the loose dog has the ability to really push some buttons with my male, even though mine's neutered. Luckily, I used my female who gets along with every dog she's ever encountered to finally get the loose guy headed off in the other direction.....but he came back! So, again, we redirected him, this time seemingly for good. But, we decided to abort the last loop and just head home, not wanting to have to chance dealing with the dog over and over again. (DH and I dropped off the dogs and went out again to get the mileage in.) Never saw this dog before, but some friends of ours said he might be from a house close by and that he had been out loose the day before with a kid on a skateboard trying to catch him. Brother!

WOE was a disaster yesterday as I ate nearly an entire jar of peanut butter. Just a bit here and there, but there wasn't much left at all by the time I stopped. I ate the last bit this morning....should have just thrown it out, but didn't. I estimated the servings based on the entire container being 14 servings. I knew about the calories and carbs in the product, but didn't let it all sink in as to how bad it really is. I put it into the food diary and YIKES! I really can't run or hide from those numbers. I'm surprised there wasn't a hand coming out of the scale this morning slapping me in the face for that.

I have GOT to find my mojo! This cannot continue. Hope everyone else is doing better than I am at present.

You may have to call someone about the loose dog...it may start getting aggressive..I hate those days when you can't seem to get a grip on the eating...but ooooh I love peanut butter too...You will find your mojo.. I have no fear...have a no loose dog day...:O)..

Bren, I think if we see this dog out again, we'll have to go over and have a bit of a talk with the owners. Luckily, it seems friendly and not a growling, snarling, nasty kind of dog! As for the eating, I'm not sure what's worse....the over-eating itself or the stressing about it afterwards. Sadly, NEITHER of those helps weight loss overall.

Thankfully the dog was friendly, or at least friendlier than that jar of peanut butter. Now Sandy, somewhere deep inside you know you have some mojo left. I know this because you have been such an inspiration to me. One of these days you'll find some motivation out of the blue. In the meantime just hang tough - we can do this together!

Thanks Buffy. I took some time out tonight to resurrect my copy of DANDR (earlier Atkins) and read through some of the motivational chapters to get me thinking. Rome wasn't built in a day, right?

Sandy, I stopped buying peanut butter for just that reason. No one else in the house eats it but me, and it sits in that cabinet and lures me with it's creamy, awesome, peanutty siren's call! I want some now just thinking about it...lol And it is good with BACON!...lol Glad that the loose dog wasn't aggressive. Great job with the walk. Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!!!
