Sandy701's Journal, 28 Jan 12

3.2 miles walked this morning with DH and doggies. Cool, bright, sunny morning, only 48 when we started but it should eventually get into the 60's.

DH has a big choir event tomorrow evening, so between church, grocery shopping and the event, that will fill out the day.

We're getting the Christmas stuff down today but I can't completely focus on my own part of the process because DH is still under a "less than 10 pounds" weight restriction. That means, moving the heavy ladder, moving larger boxes, and other items have to be done by me. So I do a bit of my work, then go over to help him with something, back to my work, back to his area to help, etc. It's great that he's able to help at all with this task, but it's still not going as quickly as either of us would like.

The good thing is that we're being ruthless in getting rid of ancient lights and other items we never use but just keep moving from new home to new home. The better stuff we can donate on Monday, as an organization has a truck coming through this area. I hope to donate a few clothing items as well.

Happy Spring Cleaning! Funny how hard it is to get rid of stuff sometimes. If I took your lead, getting ready for next Christmas would be a whole lot easier.

Sandy, great job with the Christmas stuff. There is a place here that will take them for recycling and pay you for the copper wire. If you cut off the plugs and lights sockets you can make quite a tidy little sum on the copper. We are going to be going through all of ours this spring also...when I think of all the ones I just threw away...lol Hope you are having a great weekend!
