Ashley Fletcher's Journal, 27 Jan 12

I have NO will power what so ever. I told my husband that he has to help me get in the groove of eating healthy, that he has to be my will power. But he is worse than me! lol. It's easy to not eat junk food when he's at school all day, and be semi active, but as soon as he gets home it goes down hill. He has a hard time saying no to me, so when I suggest pizza for dinner he says yes. Or if I ask him to get me some skittles, he will say "babe, you shouldn't..." and I give him the sad eyes (YES I'M TERRIBLE I KNOW.. lol) and he caves in. It's even worse when I crave chocolate a certain each month *coughcough* . I am going to make him sit down with me this weekend, and plan our grocery shopping for next week, and it has to be healthy. He is getting tired of eating sandwiches every day for lunch, so we have to find something else (which is suuuupperr duper hard!!). Maybe this will help him get on the right track for healthy eating, and in return help me! I can only hope...
(long rant is done for now :P )

My husband is what I refer to as an 'enabler'. He pushes food on me without realizing it, and since he's done this for so many years... I don't think he quite realizes he's doing it! Having your spouse help and support you is key... another thing to strengthen your relationship by working together towards a goal. Good Luck!
